Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and Acolytes

Laypeople assist the rector during the worship service in a variety of ways.  A short training period is required.  Laypeople assist according to a calendar available in the church office.

Choir

The Choir is one of the oldest groups at St. Timothy's and enhances the 11 am worship service by leading hymns and service music and contributing anthems appropriate to the Church season.  The Choir also is a vital part of the "Lessons and Carols" and Epiphany programs.  Sometimes major works such as Handel's "Hallelujah," Faure's "Requiem," and Douglas's "Easter Cantata" are presented as part of a service.  Choir practices are at 6 pm on Wednesdays, August through June.

Daughters of the King

Originally founded at St. Timothy's in 1921, today's Daughters are focused on spiritual growth and daily prayer for others.  The DOK sponsors an annual Quiet Day and hosts various Diocesan DOK meetings.  DOK meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6 pm.  To learn more about DOK, click here.

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild offers the opportunity to serve in a creative way by making flower arrangements for various services.  Members serve according to a schedule available in the church office.

Grounds and Gardens

This committee works to enhance the grounds of St. Timothy's, coordinating work days, planning and implementing landscape improvements.  Anyone interested in helping is welcome!

Knitters

Many women meet monthly to eat and then knit together after a potluck meal following the 11 am service.

Men of the Church

The Men meet the third Monday of each month with an evening meal and frequently a speaker.  They also prepare the Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday and breakfast on Easter morning.  The group is open to all men, members and visitors.

Needlework Guild

This committee creates and repairs linens for the altar, makes vestments as needed, and needlepoints new kneelers and cushions for the church.  Recent additions are a needlework patch for the piano cover and a cushion for the bench.  They meet the 4th Sunday of each month and will teach interested members.

Christian Formation

Adult and graded children's classes meet each Sunday at 10 am except during the summer.

St. Timothy's Episcopal Women's Guild

This is the second oldest organization at St. Timothy's Church and hosts meetings, suppers, and receptions for the church.  Its members reach out to parish shut-ins with cards, calls, and visits, prepare meals for bereaved families, and conduct various fund-raisers for community organizations.  The group is open to all women.  They meet the second Thursday of each month at 11 am.
